It’s A Paw-rific Holiday: Santa Stop Here!
The holiday season is upon us and that means that things are lighting up everywhere. It’s not just houses with lights, it’s outdoor decor, indoor decor, stockings by the fireplace and a world filled with lists! There are shopping lists, grocery lists and the every so famous Christmas lists. The kids are prepared and making sure that no matter what happens, everyone possible has a copy of their list. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. Every year I put things under the tree for the pup. It’s become a tradition because we’ve always had a dog. The kids LOVE having things for the dog and let’s face it, the dog is a member of the family and treated the same as the kids, so why wouldn’t he get Christmas things!
This year PetSmart has a HUGE selection of Christmas goodies for both cats and dogs. We made a trip into the store yesterday and it was very busy with the holiday season (and the amazing rescue/adoption which was full of pets being adopted). As it generally happens when we go in there.. Jordy goes missing.. The staff LOVE him and they scoop him up and take him off to visit and work with them while I shop. They are such amazing people. I remember walking in there shortly after Sparky passed away (we had unopened treats and foods) and the compassion. I think 1/2 the store was in tears. Sparky had been going to PetSmart since he was rescued by us at 10 months old! The first time we went in with Jordy, they were very excited for us and of course with him 7.8 pound size, his one ear and his adorable face, he won over the hearts of them all!
Holiday Toys and Clothing for Dogs
This is the first holiday we will have with Jordy and this is also the first winter. From the fall windy weather we’ve had and his desire to go out to do his job as fast as possible to get back inside, I knew he was going to need some sweaters. The holiday sweaters from PetSmart were just TOO cute! We had a variety of different ones that we picked out. My favorite is by far this Disney Mickey Mouse Sweater. There are a TON of cute holiday accessories and I think we spoiled Jordy to the max with them! He even got a few new holiday dog toys. There will be plenty for him to enjoy, both now and at Christmas time.
There are collars and so much more available. I truly LOVED going into the store and seeing everything! It’s amazing to see people shopping for the Christmas items for their pets the same as they would for their kids. The energy was amazing! Of course we picked up some extra treats for Jordy while we were there. I even grabbed a few more of the toys. The toys are from the Disney line and also the Martha Stewart dog line and they are perfect. They are so durable. Jordy is a chewer so it’s important to have toys he can chew on and that will last more then a day (yes he has destroyed toys in less than a day).
