Graco Infant Seat

It’s been a while since I have had to buy an infant seat for myself. My kiddos are 9 and 12 and I am not planning on having anymore. I still try my best to keep up with the latest trends and information on all the different car seats. I have friends that are still having babies and I have my readers here who look to my blog for advise on this type of thing. When my kids were born I had infant seats for them. I know a lot of people will look at the cost and opt for an all in one convertible car seat. I can certainly understand this and why people might like that option. For me, the infant seats were great. I live in Wisconsin and it’s cold here. Both of my kids were born in February so it was nice to have a seat that I could keep them snuggled and warm in and just remove the whole seat with ease. It also made buckling them in easier with the base (especially when I had an infant and a toddler). When you look at an infant seat this is something you should consider.

It’s very easy to find out any topic on net as compared to textbooks, as I found this piece of writing at this web site.

We used the Graco SnugRide Classic Connect 35 infant car seat at the beginning, then switched to a Britax G4.1 convertible seat. They’re on the simpler side as car seats go, which I like. Both fit in the center back seat of our 2010 9-3 and we didn’t have to adjust the front seats much. I don’t think we had to move them at all to account for that infant seat. We like having them in the center because it feels a little safer if there’s a side impact (no idea if that’s true…just our sense of things).

We tried a Maxi Cosi seat back there that was supposed to be among the smallest convertible seats. That thing was a monster and we had to return it. I don’t know why it’s so hard to get accurate sizing info on these things. Have a Graco MySize or MyRide 65 whatever-it’s-called in another car and that’s too big for the 9-3.
