Cookware Does Make A Difference – I’m In The Kitchen Again!
I haven’t really been active in making meals for my family as I used to be. I know that some of that is from my motivation and that is strongly effected by my Pompe’s, Fibromyalgia and my bad ankle. The rest of it has to do with the picky eaters in my house. However, I used to cook dinner every single night. I was also always making treats, protein bars and more. I did it all. Other then my cookie sheets I have not replaced my cookware in over 10 years. When I bought the cookware it was NOT top of the line, it was cheap. It was so hard to clean and since I prefer not to wash pans in the dishwasher, this ment I would have to soak, come back later and rinse and wash or sometimes soak again!
Rachael Ray Cookware Set
I didn’t think that a cookware set would have an impact on my desire to cook meals. Even typing that sounds so incredibly bizarre. A few weeks ago I received my Rachel Ray cookware set and I can’t rave enough about it. I’ve watched the show for years and I even have made some of Rachael Ray’s recipes. I never thought about purchasing her cookware. Truth be told, I’ve always thought a pan is a pan. How can a pan make a difference? The truth is.. it DOES matter! Good cookware cooks the food more evenly. Having lids for each pan is also something that I never really got. I mean this one lid can overlap on all the pans I have and that works the same, right? Wrong! When you have a good pan and a lid that fits, cooking food is so much easier. I actually have a minute to quickly grab an ingredient or a washcloth. With my old method, it was a disaster. I would burn something, things would boil over, it was an all around mess.
There are truly so many wonderful things about this cookware set that I love. This set has solid constructed pieces that are stylish and functional (and in so many fun colors). The sturdy materials of the cookware promote even heating, helping to reduce hot spots that can burn foods, and the porcelain cookware exteriors with their two-tone gradient hue are colorful and durable. When you add the tempered glass lids you form a tight seal with the cookware to help hold in heat and moisture. It doesn’t however hold in the smell.. so that late night cooking of carmel and fudge treats.. it’s not a well hidden secret anymore (although clean up is 10 times faster). The clean up on these pans is such a time saver in itself. I add a little hot water and dish soap, grab a dishcloth and wipe them down. We’ve not had anything stick to them, which I love! Even my husband commented about how easily they cleaned up. He’s usually not home when I am making the meals, but is here when I am cleaning up and will often times help me. Clean up is a breeze, which in my house is a HUGE deal! We are busy and on the go, so soaking them only to return later incredibly tired and not wanting to clean up dinner.
Rachael Ray Deep Griddle Pan
In addition to the 12 piece set, I also got the Rachael Ray 11 inch Deep Griddle with Glass Press in Orange Gradient. This pan is AMAZING! I have not gotten to use it for sandwiches yet, which I do want to try yet, but we did use it for burgers and quesadilla. It cooks so well. The burgers are cooked throughout and much more even then in your standard frying pan. The unique, shatter-resistant glass press helps you get a smooth and even heating in your sandwich or quesadilla. As an added bonus, when I used it for burgers it kept the grease splashing contained! I love this pan! Since I live in an NFL town (which has COLD harsh winters) and we do a lot of football parties, this pan will get a lot of use! For extra convenience, the griddle pan is also oven safe to 350°F!
Where Can I Buy Rachael Ray Cookware?
This set is the Rachael Ray Porcelain II 12 piece Cookware Set in Orange Gradient. This particular set includes: 1 and 2 Qt Covered Saucepans, 6 Qt Covered Stockpot, 3 Qt Covered Saute, 8.5-in. Open Skillet, 10-in. Open Skillet and (2) 10-in. X 15-in. Cookie Pans. The set sells for $159.95. The must have Rachael Ray 11 inch Deep Griddle with Glass Press sells for $49.99.
The cookware is a very durable and well worth the investment. I know that I won’t have to replace my pans again for a very long time, if ever! My old pans most certainly did not last the 10 years that we made them last. They needed replacement a long time ago! I realized that I was cooking less and less and a lot of that had to do with the clean up!
